The weekend saw Corey and I off to a 30th birthday dress up party. I was supposed to be Cindy Lauper but ended up being generic 80's chick instead. Corey made a very convincing Vivian from the Young Ones. It was a great night, lots of music and conversation not to mention far too much beer. It's been a long time since Corey and I went out together without the children. Today I am off to the Child Health nurse for my little one. Hopefully she'll be able to give me some ideas to get him talking. Then babysitting, then... who knows what. Ah the rollercoaster ride that is my life, so very exciting:)

Ok, I forgot to rotate the photo first. Here is a picture of my littlest one about to go for a walk with me. It was a Saturday morning and Corey had taken Sam to see his first movie (Bob the Builder). Elliot and I set off for some adventuring. It had been raining and I will never forget the sound of his tiny shoes splashing along next to me. I rarely get to spend time alone with Elliot so it's nice to do something together and he loves going for walks. Sometimes he is so independent and much braver than his brother was at this age. Sometimes not though, when we got home from church today someone was cutting the grass around the corner and Elliot was terrified of the sound of the lawnmower! I'm sad that he is growing up, it's been great having babies in the house and probably won't happen again. Alas and woe is me.

The wonder of scarves

So today I decided to restart my blog but couldn't sign in. I have therefore started over. Welcome to the random thoughts that pass through my oft idle mind. Yesterday I had the day to myself at the Women's Conference which is always great. We were given a bag with some knitting needles and balls of wool which I thought was an awesome idea. I have been knitting away ever since. Knitting is strangely therapuetic even if I can only knit scarves. It's nice to create something out of not much. Befor I was married, I once made a scarf for almost every toy/ornament/figure on display in my house. For some reason i find things like that wildly amusing. The sight of a delicate glass bird ornament wearing a blue wooly scarf is enough to make me chuckle out loud. Sad but true.
