Wow, it's been ages since I wrote anything. My baby started Kindy a few weeks ago and is loving it. I had some mixed feelings leaving him for the day but it helped that his teacher is a very dear friend and also one of the best educators I have ever come across. He is going to have a ball this year. I now get a day with Elliot which will be great. I am planning on taking him to story time at the library and maybe to the pools. It will just be nice to be with him alone, without the constant competition of an older brother. I think it has just hit me what an incredible important job us teachers do. It is really hard to leave my child in the care of someone else for the entire day but that is what I expect of parents all the time. What a responsibility. I am teaching music with the juniors this year and I really like it. It is tiring and a little monotonous sometimes but so much easier than classroom teaching. We get to sing and dance and be generally silly which suits me down to the ground. Lastly, I have decided to shave my head for The Worlds Greatest Shave this year. It's something I have always been meaning to get involved in so this year I have taken the plunge and signed up. I hope to raise at least $1000 for cancer research. Better start looking for some cool hats.

  1. Good for you ...I think it is a huge thing to voluntarily shave your head. The world could do with more daring people like you!
